CAGMG has, for the time being at least, ceased to be an 'active' social group.
From its roots in CHE; the 'Campain for Homosexual Equality,' and umpteen name changes, CAGMG has been running as a small 'non-commercial' social group, with social events, a regular newsletters, and even at one time, a contact list.
However, with the burgeoning new group 'SoloGays' or Solo's on the sceen, run by new faces and new enthusiasm, the committee feel they can at last throw in the towel, and let some one else do the organising for a while.
Solo's are intending to cover most of Kent in the near future, however their socials are at present just being held in Kingsgate between Ramsgate and Margate.
The Committee of CAGMG and it's members wish them well.
As for CAGMG closing its doors to members for the foreseeable future, the committee would like to say that for most of the time it's been great fun, even an education.
We have already been asked if we might re-launch it again in the future? The answer to that is, we'll just have to wait and see...
The good news about CAGMG is that we aren't closing all up compleetly; we are keeping the PO Box 'live' for at least another year so we can deal with postal issues and inquiries where we can, and we are keeping the website going so we can publisise things; social events, political issues, you sent stuff to us, and we'll see what we can do with it.
